ErgoMove 500 for tool trolleys
Ergonomics and flexibility at the workplace
The customer
PETec GmbH has been developing height-adjustable work, assembly and welding tables for industry and trade since 2019. All of the products are designed and manufactured at the company's headquarters in Meschede.
The challenge
With the ‘PETec Move and Lift’ workshop trolley, the company has created a solution that combines ergonomics and flexibility. The total weight of the trolley can reach up to 500 kilograms. The ability to adjust the working and handle height within a few seconds makes the trolley an ergonomic all-rounder. However, there was still room for improvement in the previous concept when it came to moving it. In particular, the manual operation caused a load on the musculoskeletal system when moving frequently and over long distances. PETec needed a solution that was not only more ergonomic, but also flexible and efficient to use.
Our solution
With the ErgoMove 500 electric drive system from Blickle, PETec was able to significantly optimise the operation of the workshop trolley. The system's sensor handle makes it easy to move, steer precisely and brake safely when loads of up to 500 kilograms are being transported – all without any physical effort. The folding mechanism developed by PETec itself ensures that the sensor handle is out of the way during assembly work. Thanks to plug & play, the ErgoMove system could be easily integrated into the existing design of the ‘Move and Lift’. The use of exchangeable batteries ensures an almost unlimited operating time, which further increases productivity. The customer is completely satisfied and, together with Blickle, has been able to implement not only a more ergonomic solution but also a more economical one.
